Blake says Clayton looks like me when....

Blake says Clayton looks like me when...he does this face. I can kinda see it. HA! Clayton can 95% sit up by himself. He kept smiling (see below) then making this face b/c he is frustrated by not being able to get his toys. Casper kept his smiling though. Too funny!!!!

Look close....two teeth!

All smiles!

Florida...St. Pete Beach 2009

Good thing he can't walk yet! Can you say teething?

Clayton is really getting good at sitting up...he almost has it down! I can't believe what a week difference had made. Before we left he couldn't do it...and now he can!

Napping by the pool...what a good baby!

Clayton and his buddy Calem playing in the pool!

First plane ride. He did really really good. As you can see he liked to watch his Baby Einstein DVD.
We are ready for next year!

Stats...

Clayton had his 6 month appointment today. He is still growing like a weed and reaching all the milestones he should be. I have only seen him role over a few times...finally! He just doesn't have a lot of drive...which is a good thing...maybe he will be laid back like his daddy.

Clayton went to the fire station with Blake on Sunday while I was running my first 5K ever! Blake said he LOVED looking at the fire trucks. He talks alot...we thought he said da da da the other night, but I think he was just babbling! He loves to smile and give sloppy kisses. He is really just the happiest baby ever, unless his teeth are hurting. His two bottom teeth are coming in. We are working on sitting up. He loves to sit up, but falls side to side. I think he will have it down pretty soon.

He is weighing in at 20lbs 11oz and 28 inches long. Both are 93%. I think he is slowing down a little bit...maybe he will actually be able to wear his clothes more then just once.

Thursday we leave for Florida. I can't wait for our first family vacation!

Clayton is 6 months old....how time flies!

Clayton, Taylor and I went for a walk on the constitution trail....just like the old days...when I was on maternity leave...except this time he was just in the stroller instead of his infant seat. He loved it and slept most the time. He is still my little snuggle baby.

Clayton loves to eat baby food. He really likes it as long as he is not "starving" then he just wants his mommy or a bottle.

Marin Alexandra Thies

A tired little girl!

Marin was born weighing in at 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches long. I can't believe what a difference 2 lbs makes on a baby! She is a little peanut. She was alseep the whole time we were there...probably b/c she was only 7 hours old! I can't wait to watch her grow!

I also can't believe that was us 6 months ago!

Everyone is doing good and they are already at home!

Little Miss Marin is here!

Little Miss Marin was born this morning! I am an Aunt and Clayton has his first cousin. I don't know all the details...but Blake and I will be going to the hospital this afternoon to meet our new little neice! So there will be more details to follow.

Michelle (Blake's sister) was due on March 3rd....but little Marin didn't want to be born until today. Poor Michelle was at 41 weeks on the verge of 42. I am sure this is not the last thing Michelle and Marin will disagree on :-). Michelle went in last night around 6 p.m. to get induced and Marin came this morning around 6 a.m. Not bad!

My new hat

First Professional Haircut

I went and got my haircut this weekend and of course my little man came with me. When Janet saw his hair she said it needed to be trimmed so it would grow in better. I don't know if you can tell from the previous pics...but his hair looked like an old man's hair with a little "tuft" in the back. Now that is trimmed nicely (thanks Janet :-)) he looks like a little (big) boy!

He loved the haircut....no crying. I hope this continues.
