Telling the Big Brother...

I am almost 9 weeks along and we still haven't told anyone.  Tomorrow night we are going to a friends "patio party" and I know that everyone will be suspicious if I don't enjoy my normal Bud Light Limes....

So we decided we needed to tell family!  Clayton needed to know first...

It was like her already knew because for about a month he has been making comments to me like your belly is getting bigger (trust me it is not!) or just talking about babies in general...

So we told him I had a baby in my belly....his response.

"Stop joking me guys."

He is over the moon excited and so are we....nothing can go wrong this time right?

Please keep us in your prayers.

Coronado, CA

This weekend is Blake's 30th birthday...and where am I?  Coronado, CA!!!!  Kelly and I came for a weekend trip for our friend Shannon's wedding from college.  I felt guilty leaving Blake on his big 3-0, so I had a surprise party for him (at our house) on Aug 10!  I didn't take any pictures b/c I was on adrenaline and forgot!!  I am still not sure how I pulled it off!  But don't feel sorry for Blake, because he is on a guys trip to our lake house in the Ozarks!

In Coronado there was a cute restaurant called Clayton's...we never ate there but of course I had to get a picture with the Clayton sign.

We were really disappointed in the San Diego/Coronado weather....it was cloudy and gloomy :-(

 this tree was so neat!
 San Diego bay...

we ate lunch at the bay...then the sun came out!  We high tailed it back to the beach for some "sun goddess" time before the wedding!  We only got 1.5 hours of sun the WHOLE time we were there...major disappointment.

the guys...

Shannon and her Dad...isn't she gorgeous?

Terry and Shannon!

the wedding was at the Hotel del Coronado....AMAZING place.

the wedding and reception were on the beach.  Love the wind blown hair!

beautiful sunset.

This was probably one of the most fun receptions I have ever been too.  I think it was the landscape, the people, and the music.  Everyone danced in the sand, even the guys!  If you know me that equals a really fun time!  I am so glad Kelly and I were able to sneak away for the weekend.  Even though the weather wasn't the greatest....it was really fun!

Phone pics from Coronado...

Just a few pics from my phone from our weekend in CA!  See how gloomy the weather was?  It didn't stop us from walking the beach and drinking our Starbucks!!

On our way to San Diego Bay...I saw this place was for sale.  Guess how much?  Not by the water or anything.....I would say maybe $500K.  Try 1.95 MILLION!  This was a one bed/one bath shack.  CRAZY!  I guess the value is in the land.

the palm was just beautiful!

Mowing...

Today Clayton and I had to run out to the field quick to get Blake some band-aids...the poor guy hit his leg and had blood everywhere.

I had to wake up Clayton from his nap...then he had to ride with Daddy!

Kinda weird that Blake was mowing corn down...the insurance company gave them the go ahead.

I have seriously never seen anything like this....

at least the 2 inch rain we got last week is hopefully helping the beans along.  I know it is helping our garden!

Seriously weird....on a side note it looks smaller then most corn because it is seed corn and they have to cut the pollinator rows.  Wow I sound like I know what I am talking about....ha!

Danvers Days...

Tonight we took Clayton to Danvers Days.  It is a really cool town festival close to us.

We ate a the fireman pork chop supper then I took Clayton to do some carnie rides.  Man are those things expensive!!

He loved the slide.

Then we met up with some friends to watch the motorcycle stunt show.  Calvin and Clayton LOVED watching Ricky.

Gotta have fuel to do tricks...

Even Reese got up in the action.

I am not sure how Ricky does it!

He is amazing...all the money went to a good cause!

I hope Clayton doesn't get any bright ideas that he should be a stunster when he gets older......oh boy.

Cornbelters!!!

Tonight we invited some friends to go sit in the Grieder box for the Cornbelters game!

The kids were so excited to be there...Henry

Izzy had a long car ride that made this little girl really sad....but she got over it quickly!

Evan and Megan came too!

the kids had a great time running around...

climbing in the deck box....

reading the instructions...

and getting their faces painted!

We thought Henry would back out...but he did it!

Clayton wanted a monster face...

and somehow he got a spider face...who knows?

The boys were happy...

with their monster faces.

Calvin was the only kid brave enough for a picture with Corny!!

Me and my monster face!

We had a great time at the game tonight.  The kids and adults had so much fun "watching" the game (not sure who was watching b/c i wasn't....ha!).

It was cold tonight...we didn't bring coats....brrrr!  I think it was around 60 degrees...I know I shouldn't have listened to my hubby.
