Galena...

Our honeymoon suite....it had a fireplace and everything! We loved it!!!

Blake and I went to Galena for the weekend....what a wonderful time we had. We got pampered, a couples massage, facials (yes Blake got a facial and he has no problem admiting it!), and I got a pedicure. I think we deserved the pampering after all the hard work we have done this past year! We have really realized that even though we have a child who we both adore we need some couple time. It is so nice to reconnect with each other and renergize us as parents! Boy did we miss our little buddy! I know he was having a great time with his Grammy Cyndee.

Cool huh? In the hotel they had a huge windmill right outside our door. I loved it! I might have to get the pic put on a canvas or something.

Downtown Galena. It was so cute. So many shops and so much to do. It is a great place to go. Next time I need some girls to go shopping with me!

We ended the weekend at Kelly and Brandon's. Here is a picture of their baby Henry. He is so cute and getting so big! He made me miss my little guy....but as always we had a great time with our great friends....if only they lived in BLM!!!

Technical difficulties....

I am having some major technical difficulties!

First, Blake broke my camera on Sat night! He dropped it on the floor during a picture. My little Olympus not my Canon. (thank goodness). Now I can't get those pics off my memory card!

He found my receipt from Best Buy to take it back. We had purchased the 2 year warranty with it....what a joke! They said that it was broken due to physical damage then it would not be covered. So I ask myself, what are the to most common ways to break a camera? Dropping it or getting it wet. Neither are covered. So we will NEVER be buying that "warranty" again. I think it will take a couple weeks to find out if it is repairable, which my bet is it will be more then the camera is worth (and not covered under the "warranty")....so I guess I will start trying to find a new one.

I have been taking some pictures of Clayton being a stinker....but now for some reason my computer won't read my CF card! So a CF card reader is on its way.....

Hopefully I can get all of my "issues" solved so I can post pictures from our trip this weekend! Blake and I are off for a weekend alone. We will miss our little buddy, but we definitely need some couple time! I am so blessed to be able to leave Clayton in good hands so Blake and I can get re energized!

Kelly's bday!

Blake and I had his fire department christmas party = night out for us! While Tay watched Clayton we had a great time at the party....we also wanted to celebrate Kelly's bday with her so we had to make it to both parties....It was really funny b/c we didn't make it to Danvers until 11 p.m. What? We are usually way in bed before then. We had a great time and we were glad we make the late night trek!

2nd Bday Celebration!

For Tay's second bday celebration we went to a the Praire Thunder hockey game then went out on the town. I am totally not a hockey fan, but being able to sit in box was pretty sweet. That is the way to do it so you can socalize and "watch" the game at the same time.

Of course, my once a year outing I had to call my girl Jenna. She met up with us and it was fun....like the old times.

So cute! He also feeds Baxter at Grammy Patty's house...he is just a little dog lover.

Clayton's 16 month well baby check

We finally made it to the doctor for Clayton's 16 month should have been 15 month appointment. With the holidays, the doctor being gone, snow days, and Clayton's weird throat thing we finally made it there. Anyway, here are his stats...

Looks like a average boy! He did good at the appointment. For some reason he gets really sad when Dr. Boe is examining him (turning into a shy boy) and of course for his shots!

Funny story...while we were waiting for the nurse to come in for the shots, Clayton was on my lap playing with a puzzle. All the sudden I noticed he had peed on me! Gross!!! That hasn't happened for a while. His diaper must have moved or something and it could have been due to the fact that he needs to be in size 5 diapers but we are trying to use up all the size 4's!!! So I had to wash my pants and the dr office. It was a funny sight! Oh the joys of motherhood...I guess I now know what it is like to have "pee pants."

Clayton's fun new thing is showing us where his belly button is and where his nose is. Other then that, just trying to keep up!

Fun with the Deterding's

Friday night we went to the Deterdings for dinner. It had been forever since we had seen them and had an awesome time.

All the sudden we heard Clayton crying, we turned around found this. He has somehow fallen into the basket. Hilarious....I told Blake to hold on so I could get a picture. **Some of these pictures are kinda blurry, but to good to not post. I am getting used to my new lense.**

Clayton also thinks Evan is the coolest. They were playing and wrestling alot. It makes me excited for the next baby.

Clayton found this lady bug carriage in Megan's room. It was Jessica's when she was little and the kids loved getting pushed in it. Doesn't that look like fun?

Megan and Clayton were hilarious together. They had some issues sharing, but for the most part were really intersted in each other. Here they were playing with Oliver the cat. I think it was Clayton's first cat experience...no allergies...thank goodness!

Look what Aunt Alisha did to Clayton. He wasn't quite sure it that was fun or not...we all had a good laugh and then he thought he was so cool.

Who knew boxes could be so fun. Whatever works while I was trying to work from home on a snow day!

New Years Day!

Yes, I had to work New Years Day...the fun life of being a cost accountant where year end cutoffs are very important! Anyway, while I was off at work Blake and Clayton had a fun filled day...Blake even got this adorable pic...my new fav!

I am excited to see what the year 2010 brings. A weekend getaway for Blake and I, numerous Ozark trips, showers/bachelorette party for Alisha (we are already planning!), Clayton will be 2, a new house....2010 is going to be a very busy year!
