Labor Day Weekend!

Clayton's buddies finally arrived and he was SO SO SO happy.  I had to wake him up this morning and he jumped out of bed and put his swim trunks on in about 5 seconds and was ready for the day.

Kelly and I both got a really yummy "pain in the a$$" drink.  It was just what we needed....

It was about 95 degrees.  Blake and I were worried about Sawyer but he was a tropper.

He even slept in my beach bag while we ate.  After we had a wonderful lunch the kids went down the water slides 576 times while we enjoyed the pool.  Sawyer loved being in the pool.  It was really hard to hold him when it was so hot out...but he did really really good!

Waiting so patiently...

We made it to the lake last night!!  I talked Blake into leaving after work around 5:30.  We didn't arive until a little before 11:30.  That is super late for us!  I wanted to a have all of Friday to relax and enjoy the day.

Today Sawyer found his toes!!  He will be 5 1/2 months tomorrow.  For lunch he also ate two tubs of baby food...hungry boy!!

Clayton was super bored with out any friends down....

He even feel asleep waiting for Calvin and Brenna to arrive.  (note the pink blanket aka nonnie...that was Charlotte's...Clayton loves it). 

So clean clean...

Clayton and I had our morning cleanings!  Dr. Burge was very impressed with how well he brushes his teeth and how nicely spaced they are.  Wahoo!  I have to go back tomorrow to get a crown....what fun!

First Day of Pre K

Today is my baby's first day of PreK.

I got this!  I can't believe how big he is!!!  I am looking forward to him being at Trinity Lutheran.  I think it will be really good for him.

All About Clayton

Tomorrow my Big Guy....Clayton Jay starts all day Pre-K.

I now know that Sept birthdays are the worst b/c he wants to go to kindergarten so bad.  Instead we signed him up for an all day preschool at Trinity Lutheran.  He is so excited!  (We are too!)

Last week we went to meet his teacher and take his supplies...he thinks PK will be a lot of fun because his teacher looks fun.

Tonight we had to fill out an all about me sheet for tomorrow....here are his answers:

My favorite color is:  red also blue

My favorite book is:  race cars

My favorite tv show is:  Tom and Jerry

My favorite sport is:  t-ball...b/c I actually like t-ball

When I grow up: I want to be superman...or maybe like Daddy a fireman and go to the shop and to the farm.

I'm special because: I am a good big brother and nice to my friends.

The place I'd most like to visit:  museum (Children's Discovery Museum)...they have lots of cool toys there

My favorite food is:  fish sticks

One thing I really want to learn is:  numbers and letters

The best thing about me is:  zooming race cars,  running fast with my fast shoes and climbing up the slide with my super speed.

The people in my family are:  Mommy, Daddy, Clayton, baby Charlotte, and Sawyer

I have a pet dog named Casper.

My best friend is:  Sawyer my brother b/c he always looks at me and laughs at me.  (Yes he really said this).

The person I admire most:  is Daddy because he is a fireman.

My favorite subject in school is painting.

Tonight we sent lanterns in the sky for our baby sis in heaven.

 I couldn't believe Clayton remembered doing this last year!

It was very bittersweet holding my healthy child while remembering my sweet girl.  Last year I was pregnant with Sawyer...so much has changed in a short two years!

Happy 2nd Birthday

Happy 2nd Birthday my sweet baby girl.  She sure came into this world a fighter.  I have never noticed until right now the amount of blue gloves in this picture....I will never forget hearing her cry as I was in and out of consciousness...the only time I ever heard that sweet noise.  This is really the only true face picture of I have of Charlotte before she had a breathing tube.  She looks so much like her brothers.

I really can't believe she would have been two years old today.  I can't imagine her toddling around the house.  It seems like she should be turning five like Clayton.  I am not sure why....but it seems like she was here so long ago...even though it hasn't even been two years.

I thank my Charlotte every day for giving me Sawyer Tate....I think she had a part with him having blue eyes like her and the same face/head shape.  They really look a lot alike.  We were planning on being done after having Charlotte...but God had other plans for our family....and I am very thankful for my healthy sweet baby boy.

Happy Bday to our sweet sweet girl!  

I miss you everyday but can feel you with me always.

Remembering Charlotte...

Remember when we made "Team Charlotte" to do a 5K in Chicago in her honor for the Children's hospital?

Well I got this in the mail....we raised enough money to get her name on a mural painting in the lobby.

This is her plaque!

They gave me the exact location of her tile in this mural.   

Neat huh??  I can't wait to go see it in person sometime.  Who is up for a shopping trip?
