Potty!

Clayton went Potty on the toilet right before his bath tonight. Had to document! Blake, Taylor and I made a huge deal of it clapping....he was smiling ear to ear.
I have been putting him on the potty for a couple weeks now...and he finally tinkled!

Happy Father's Day...

To start Father's Day off we went swimming at the Patty and Denny's pool for father's day (after Blake let me mow our yard, i really love mowing). At first Clayton wants his crocs on while he is jumping in...which is so funny! Here he is getting ready to jump in...notice the red swim diaper...Blake said he looked like a girl...so we had to put his trunks on. I kinda like the cloth swim diaper!
Other then jumping, Clayton loved playing catch with this football, especially with daddy.

Then the rest of the clan joined us so Clayton really started showing off!

I love this picture. He probably jumped in 500 times. I love that he is a water baby, just like his momma.
We then went to my parents for an awesome cookout with good food. We were having such a nice time we didn't realize it was 9:30 at night!

So the boys crashed when we got home. What a great day!

21 months....

Since I am away traveling for work....I am missing my boys like crazy. So what should I do but write about my baby...

Mr. Clayton Jay is 21 months old today... almost two....what?

I have finally started to realize that he is not a baby anymore, but a full blown toddler. Tonight on the phone he said hi momma and bye momma. I loved it! He was also a giggle monster while I was trying to talk to him. I think he misses me.

What is Clayton up to these days? If we are driving down the road you will constantly hear truck, truck, truck....and MOO MOO MOO. He says it really high pitched and excited b/c he loves his moos! Every morning Clayton wakes up not wanting to get out of his crib. We would rather lay there and relax all morning drinking his sippy. He usually throws a fit (yes it is true) when I am changing his diap and getting him dressed. I ask him every morning if he wants me to get him dressed..."NO"...do you want mommy change your diap...."NO". After that episode is over he immediately wants to go outside to see ODIE. He says outside and Odie all the time! That boy would live outside if we would let him!

Of course he loves Casper too, but can't quite say it. It sounds more like Bapy. Since Clayton is obsessed with going outside he also loves his outside shoes...his crocs. He can even put them on himself now. I can't believe that...he is so proud when he does it. He just started saying his own name at school...sounds like Laytin.

Some quick stats: He weighs 30lbs, wears size 3T shirt/24 month shorts (skinny boy), size 5 diapers, size 6/7 shoe.

His best buddy is Logan. They play so good together! He loves to run, run, run....all the time. His new thing is swimming...well more like jumping in the pool! I guess today he was jumping in with Grammie and had to have his crocs on while swimming. He loves those things!!! He has just started sitting on the potty before his bath. No pee yet, but he likes sitting there and knows what the potty is...so that is good right?

My favorite of all...he gives us kisses and hugs constantly. He will just come up and hug our legs all the time. He is such a sweet little boy with a big heart. I have to remind myself of that when he is not listening sometimes :-)....

I miss him, but get to be home tomorrow...yeah!

OH and other news....we started digging today! YAY!!!!

My smiles...

Clayton LOVES the Gilliam's deck...especially the TWO porch swings...

and of course...

the steps! Look at his face....I just melt.

Hopefully next time some little Gilliam friends will be down to keep him busy. :-)

Busy Busy Busy Boy = tired momma!

Clayton is so busy. He makes me tired...chasing him! He LOVES his crocs...and has issues when sand/rocks get in them...

so busy...

we tired anything...

Posted by Picasaand everything to keep him entertained!

Tough life being Clayton Jay...

Look at him....asleep as we are pulling into Captain Ron's. That didn't last long though! Funny side note, see that squirt bottle he is holding? That is all he played with in the boat...he wouldn't even let go while sleeping...go idea to keep him busy. thanks mom!

I had to get a pic by a pirate at Captain Ron's.

First morning at the lake...

Wed night we (Clayton and I) decided it would be a fun to join the girls for a weekend at the Lake...of course Clayton woke up and had to go exploring...

He met the neighbors...then saw the hose...and he was done for!

Do you think he has landcaping in his genes? He loves "working" outside!

Clayton's first time in his new life jacket. I couldn't believe he didn't throw a fit about wearing it while on the dock. Thank goodness! He loved playing on the dock, especially with the hose! I see a theme there...give him a hose of water and he is happy :-).

As Clayton and I were leaving for the weekend...

our new driveway was being completed courtesy of Brand/Grieder Excavating :-)

Also, our house is going to the east of our current house....so the corn had to be mowed where the house is going to go so it can be staked out next week! Crazy huh? Blake and I are so excited!
