Announcing the news...

Clayton made it to the hospital just in time to announce baby brother's name.  Sawyer Tate.  We didn't get it from anywhere, just liked it!  It is hilarious how at first he really wanted him to be called Zoomie.  He said no that isn't his name.  Then started telling us that his name was Zoomie in my belly but now that he is out it is Sawyer.  He kept forgetting what his real name is.

Aunt Alisha holding Sawyer..with his mouth open.  Just like Daddy and big brother.

Clayton came back to the hospital later that night and insisted on holding him again.

Sawyer looks like a 3 month old.  ha!

Sawyer Tate is here!

Sawyer Tate is here!  I was so so nervous before the C section began.  I was literally shaking on the OR table before they did my spinal.  Not sure why I was so nervous...oh wait I could think of a million reasons....mainly to hope and pray for a healthy baby boy.  I told Dr. D and the pediatrician to check out his ears to make sure they were normal...that is one of the key characteristics of a CHARGE baby.  NORMAL!!!

While laying on the operating table awake I really had no idea what they doctors were doing.  I can just feel my upper body move but nothing else.  They kept talking about how huge his head was and how they couldn't pull him out because he kept wiggling back up.  So good thing I didn't try a VBAC because there is no way he would have fit.

Look at how big he is!  After his 1 and 5 minute APGAR score (8 and 9) they finally weighed him....

Yep that's right...my baby was 10 lbs 5 oz.  Holy Bananas!!! I still can't believe the was that big.  I think once  they pulled him out Blake had to run back out of the OR to grab my camera (he is the worst about pics)...so glad they let him and he captured all of these.

He looks so much like Clayton.  I can't even describe the feeling of looking over and only seeing one doctor and a nurse work on my baby.  To hear him cry loudly, to not see the fear in Blake's eyes that I saw with Charlotte....to know that he is going to be okay.  What a miracle!

The charge nurse let Clayton come back into the recovery room which isn't usually allowed.  But with our situation...they made an exception.  I love this picture (I look horrible) but look at Clayton looking at his brother....precious.

Finally a family of four with our angel baby watching from above.  Me and my boys....what a feeling.

38 weeks 6 days!

Well yesterday was my last day of work....WAHOO!!  I made it til the end.  We have today off for Good Friday or "Spring Break."

I had my LAST doctor's appt yesterday.  My belly is measuring 42 weeks....yep I am ready.  His heart rate is still in the 140's like always.  He has really been moving less and less....I think there just isn't enough room.  I am anxious to see how big he really is.

This little boy is SO SO SO excited.  He has a countdown going on when his baby brother will be here.

Look at my belly.  I was running errands after my appt yesterday and got so many comments about my necklace.  I think people were just to nice to say.....wow you are huge!  Okay I did get a lot of those comments too.  If you look at my stomach it is really evident that he is on my right side.  I need to try to get a pic to show that.  Strangers say to me....wow you can really see where the baby is.

I am praying for a healthy baby....an extra bonus would be if the baby had the same blue eyes as Clayton and Charlotte.  That way I will always be reminded of her by looking at my boys.

I had to go to the hospital for some pre blood work and getting registered this week.  As I was leaving I thought in my head how amazing it will be to leave the hospital with a healthy baby next week.  That will be a true blessing....something that I have dreamed of since the day Charlotte was born.

I have a fun day planned tomorrow....getting my hair done, pedicures/lunch with my sisters, Target run....and who knows what else.  I am just going to enjoy the day and try not to act to crazy when I get home....but sometimes a prego lady just can't help it.  Sorry Blake!

I am done!

Yesterday I felt done.

I had to wear a fake wedding ring....and my feet are swollen.  Yep...no more ankles!  I would show you a pic but I REALLY need a pedicure.

Tomorrow I am 38 weeks and feeling 41 weeks.

I had my 38 week appt yesterday and we had a sonogram!  It is really hard to see the baby because he is just so smashed in there.  A lot of measurements didn't even read because they are out of scope b/c of his size.  I know she didn't get his whole head circumference in and it was measuring at 41 weeks.  Good thing I am having a c-section!

His total weight measurements came out to be 10.1 lbs....right now!  Blake, Dr. Dameron, and I don't believe that is accurate....but we do think he is well over 8 lbs right now.

My stomach is measuring 41 weeks (with normal fluid levels).

This story sounds just like when I was pregnant with Clayton.  I think I will just have another big boy on hands...which is fine with me!

Other then that everything looks good and hopefully I can make it another week.  I haven't dilated yet so I think I can make it.  Everything is still set for next Sat. March 30th.

I am so ready for this little man to get here.

37 weeks....3 days!

Here I am.... 37 weeks...3 days!  I feel like I can finally do a belly shot with Clayton riding the bump because I am full term.  I am sure Dr. D wouldn't like seeing me holding my 50 lb Clayton!

I did the same shot with Charlotte at 29 weeks....look how much Clayton has changed.  Boy I miss being tan!

Blake and I made this for the babies room.  It literally took us an hour to throw this together.  Who knew we had barn wood just laying around.  I thought I was going to have to paint something to get it to look like barn wood....nope!  I really need to go out and look around the farms for my "finds."  I need to come up with more projects for him.

I am going with a woodland animal theme....okay kinda.  I have a deer head and an owl. Blake was shocked when I told him I wanted to hang a deer head in the babies room.   It's cool right?  Hoping to get a couple more things here and there...maybe a fox or owl pillow.  I am just trying not to be to "themey" and I thought it would go great with my tree.

owl "piggy" bank...

Can you tell I love the crib/tree/chevron blanket?

I think I am ready for my baby boy to get here.  I am running out of things to clean/organize!

Best Buddies!

Today I picked up Clayton early from school and we went to meet Logan and Rhendy.  I wanted to make sure to get a play date in before the baby comes.  These two have become quite the little buddies.

They were together for a couple hours and we didn't hear ONE argument.  Usually they bicker or aren't the best sharers...but today they had the best time ever.  I really think Logan is his best friend....which is nice for Rhendy and I.  :-)

This was Clayton trying to talk me into going back to their house...or taking Logan with us to get ice cream....or really just worrying about what was coming next.  Both of them were trying to negotiate...it was to funny.

C and I left the park and headed to Cold Stone (I had gift cards...that place is pricey!).  He thought it was so neat...and boy was it yummy.  I definitely spoiled our suppers...but that's okay...enjoying the day with my boy!

37 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 37 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby G is around 6.3 lbs - about the size of a watermelon  We will see how big he really is next week.  I have a sonogram scheduled next week to measure his size.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 31 lbs (I didn't gain anything this week!!)

Maternity Clothes:  wear maternity jeans and pants and tops and a few regular tops. I'm down to just a few things I can still fit into….but I gotta make it work. ha!

Gender: It's a BOY!!  So excited for another baby boy.  I am excited for everyone to know his name.  I say it all day in my head.  Blake and I don't even saw it to each other unless we are alone because we don't want to spoil it.  I am really not sure how we are so good at keeping it a secret!

Movement: He is VERY active - especially in the morning at work and at night.  Yesterday I am not sure what he was doing but it felt like he was punching my cervix....not comfortable!

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty good!  Better this week then last week.  I am thinking about investing in some memory foam pillows....any suggestions???

What I miss: Bending over…..breathing normally!

Cravings: I would say chocolate and smoothies still.  Other then that I've lost my appetite lately - I think maybe my stomach has run out of room?

Symptoms: Not really any pressure....I just have dizzy issues and my legs feel tired all the time.  I ordered some compression running socks to wear around the house to help my circulation....and I can use them when I start running again!  So ready for that!!!  My fingers are a little swollen....nothing to bad for being this huge!

Best Moment this week: I AM FULL TERM!!!  I was kinda worried about that since I had Charlotte at 36 weeks...but I made it.  My next appt is next Thursday with a sonogram.  I hope I make it that far...I want to know how big he is and see him again.

My stomach is measuring at 39 weeks....so I know I have a big guy in there.  I can't wait to see his chubby cheeks.  I will take a big boy again....it just makes baby clothes kinda tricky!

Oh the things they say....

With this Momma about ready to pop....

And my little boy realizing he is going to have a baby brother soon....he has been saying the funniest things to me lately.
  • "Mommy did candy make you pregnant?"  My response:  No candy did not make me fat if that is what you mean...I am pregnant.  That was as far as the explanation went.  Thank goodness.
To preface the next comment....I got a ladder out of the garage so I could take my winter wreath off my mirror above the fireplace.  (Yeah I know...just what a 36 week prego should be doing)
  • "Mommy if Daddy saw you doing that he would be really mad."  I asked him why....  "Because ladders are for boys and you need to be careful with that big belly."  Already looking out for his Momma.  :-)
  • "Mommy why don't you just take a break."  I was sitting on the ground complaining of my legs hurting from doing to much.  It seems like he has really picked up on Blake's comments to me lately.  :-)

The Go Kart!

I am not sure when this all started....but one day Jake and Blake were at the shop with Clayton and got him all hyped up about this go kart.  He tells me constantly "Mommy your son is going to be a go kart racer."  Oh dear....just what every mom wants to hear her 4 year old say.  So this go kart has been the new shop project for Blake and Clayton before planting starts...

Clayton even chooses to go to the shop instead of going to Walmart with me....tear.  I really like it when he goes with me...always an adventure (I am serious!).

This go kart right now is just the frame.  Blake had it sand blasted and then he painted it red today.  Clayton says his favorite color is red (I don't think I even knew that!).

This go kart was mine and my siblings when we were younger.  I think I was about 12....so pretty much it needs redone.  Blake assures me that he can turn the power down so it won't go that fast.  I have a feeling that my little mechanical boy will figure out how to speed it up and give me a heart attack.  I guess these are the things I need to get used to with another boy on the way.

Next....Clayton is working on good behavior to earn himself a helmet.  The rules will be he cannot be on it without one.  At least I know that rule will stick.  :-)

I wonder what the next Daddy/Son project will be...kinda neat that Clayton loves to do the same things as Blake.

CAT equipment...

After Marin's party I ran into the rug rack with my mother in law to give her my input on some rugs.   So the boys played....I wish we had cool stuff like this in Bloomington.  I bet I could talk Blake into going with me more often.

This was my idea for him to stand on top of the skid loader...he loved it.

I wish I would have taken more pics.  My two boys playing and having fun on the CAT equipment at the Shoppes of Grand Prairie!  Love them.

A celebration for Marin's bday!

Today we headed to Peoria to Jillian's for Marin's 4th bday party.  Clayton LOVED this place.  They had an arcade full of games.  It seemed like he liked the games where you were pretending to drive cars/boats etc.

So the boys did a lot of racing....

And the girls did a lot of running around and ski ball.  I love ski ball!

Marin and her yummy princess cupcakes.

Opening presents!  I wish I could have gotten a pic of Marin and Clayton together because they matched.

I talked Clayton into taking a picture with me because he wanted to go back and play more games SO SO badly.  When I look at this picture I can't believe how old he looks and how good of a combo of Blake and I he is.  Can't wait to see what the baby is going to look like!

We had a great time at the birthday party.  I can't believe how old the kiddos are getting.....time can stop at any moment!!

36 Weeks!!! Getting closer...

Tomorrow I'm 36 weeks!

(Whoa....look at how huge I look)

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 36 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby Boy G is around 6 lbs (I think he is bigger than that!) - about the size of a crenshaw melon
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 31 lbs (seriously I eat the same….this baby is getting big…)
Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans and pants and tops and a few regular tops. I'm down to just a few things I can still fit into….but I gotta make it work. ha!
Gender: It's a BOY!!  So excited for another baby boy.
Movement: He is VERY active - especially in the afternoon and at night.  Every night Blake and I just watch my stomach move around.  This week he was sticking his hand or foot straight out.  It was such a weird feeling.
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty good!  I do get up a lot in the middle of the night to pee, but have no problems getting back to sleep.
What I miss: Bending over…..breathing normally!
Cravings: Nothing really….maybe smoothies.  Clayton and I have been making a lot of smoothies.  Other then that I have lost my appetite for the most part….my stomach has definitely run out of room!
Symptoms: I have still been having stomach issues…not as bad, but it can stop at anytime!.

Best Moment this week: Having conversations with Clayton about what his job is going to be when the baby comes.  I told him I want him to be the first to see the baby….after Blake of course and announce to the family what his name is.  Clayton still doesn't know his name….and he doesn't ask surprisingly.  Maybe he really thinks his baby brother’s name will be Zoomie (he made that up).  We are trying to prepare him to be a good helper for me.  He is really excited for baby brother to get here…but he knows he needs to grow for a little while longer.  This week he has been talking about taking him to the Ozarks….a must on my maternity leave list!

I had my 35 week appt on Wed.  Next week starts the every week visit…yikes!  I never made it to those with Charlotte, so that makes a little nervous.  My stomach is measuring 38.5 weeks (no surprise there)!  No dilation or anything yet….so I think I am good to go.  I bought diapers/wipes and other baby stuff on Sat….so I think I am about ready to have this baby.

OH and we set a C-section date for MARCH 30th….You know the day before Easter.  Am I crazy….I think not…sounds like the perfect day to me.  I will be exactly 39 weeks.  I didn't want to wait  until Monday April 1st….no April Fools baby here! Wahoo!
