Some news!

We couldn't be more excited!

Merlot and Masterpiece...

Tonight I met my Mom, Taylor, and Kaitlin for Merlot and Masterpiece in downtown Bloomington.  We did this for my Mom's birthday.  It was a really fun girls night full of wine and Reality Bites takeout for some appetizers.  There were actually quite a few people we knew at the class...so that made it that much more fun!  We missed Alisha...I am sure her painting would have been the best of all!

This is my painting.  It turned our really good!  I was expecting a more paint by numbers type of thing...and it wasn't at all.  It was pretty free reign... which was kinda scary at first, but fun!  As you can see all of our paintings turned out different.

Railroad Days!

Today we went to Monticello IL to the Railroad Days.  I have to be honest...I just thought we were going to ride on the steam engine with Uncle Matt...but it was a big event!

We rode the train into town...

to get some lunch!

Alisha and Matt
We actually missed the train coming back...so we played at the depot for awhile.  Matt took a break from driving the steam engine to eat with us.

Alisha and Clayton playing.

Not sure how...but Clayton knew this was a typewriter.  He even knew how to put paper in it.  I was impressed.

waiting patiently!

on our way back....

he LOVED the little train cars you moved with your hands.

and of course getting his face painted like a tiger!

We ended up being there all day.  It was a lot of fun, but I just had a flu shot so I wasn't feeling the greatest.

so we headed home for naps.

I would recommend this to anyone that had train lovers in their families!  It is also a fundraiser for the train museum which puts on the POLAR EXPRESS!!

My sleeping angel...

Just wanted to share a picture of my little boy taking a nap.  He looks so peaceful.  When he sleeps I see the  resemblance of Charlotte.  Clayton likes to take naps in my bed.  I don't mind as long as he naps so we can do fun stuff that night!

The big 4 year old Bash!

Today was Clayton's actual 4th birthday and we had an airplane party!  He wanted an airplane on his cake....it was really hard to find airplane stuff...so I made these candy airplanes...so cute (and easy!)

These are marshmallow propellers!

Blake and Clayton's aviators!

Daddy loving before the party.

My mom bought Clayton these bibs for his birthday.  He opened them and decided he needed to wear them for the party because, "he looks really cute in them."  Yes he said that.

Meggi checking out the cake!

he loves his airplane!

 the best picture of us!
a funny one.

Clayton got lots of cool toys!

Happy Birthday to my 4 year old!

After the party he decided it was fun to chainsaw the balloons...they got all tangled from the wind.

look at that face....

He had a great birthday today.  Another great day with friends and family!

Bucked off?

Tonight we went to Jake and Katie's for a cookout.  Good thing we let Clayton open a birthday present early...his new boots!  He definitely needed them for riding horses today.
At first he was a little hesitant...but once he swung his leg over the saddle he was ready to ride.
I think it helped he was riding with on of his girlfriends Hannah.  Clayton LOVES the twins.

Megan was riding with Alyssa and Clayton with Hannah.

They both just had a great time.

Easton holding onto his Momma....precious!

It was so neat to see Clayton interested in horses....as a little girl I took lessons and loved every minute of it!

Clayton on Howard all by himself.  He actually got bucked off!  Okay maybe not bucked, but Howard got spooked by the dogs and went up on his back two feet and Clayton fell off. (I guess that is bucked?)  What did he do?  No tears.....no nothing.  I saw him standing on the ground and was trying to figure out what was going on.

That didn't stop him...he got right back on.  That's my boy!!!

These two could have stayed on for hours.

Baby Easton had to get in on the action too!

Had a great night with great friends.  We are so lucky to have nights like this where the kids play and the parents too!
