16 week appt.

I had my 16 week appt today, I was literally in and out in 5 mintues!  I have only gained 1 lb so far and am still kinda showing, not really.  I haven't broken out the maternity clothes yet, I think I might have to soon....we will see.  I just figured I would be alot bigger by now with baby number 2, but I am about the same.

The baby's heart rate is 147 which is the exact same as Clayton at this point.  We find out if we are having a boy or girl next appt.  April 26th!  I can't wait, Blake is excited to get to go to an appt too.

I think it is another boy, but would love to be wrong and have a girl!  I really don't care if it is a boy or girl, as long as it is as sweet as Big Brother Clayton Jay!  I just want to know!

SUGARLAND!

Friday night my sisters and I all went to the Sugarland concert!  I am not a huge concert goer, but I have always loved Sugarland.  Kaitlin was able to get some tickets before they went on sale, so she bought the max four....so we all decided to go!  I seriously had the best time ever.  I thought being prego, that I would be really tired and didn't know what to expect.  We were having a dance party in our seats the whole time.  Alisha and some old guy even had a dance off...he was two rows down.  It was hilarious!

Sugarland sounds just like they do on the radio, probably better.   The show ended with Madonna's "Like a Prayer:"  AMAZING!

2 1/2 years young...

Clayton is officially 2 ½ today.  2 ½ seems so much older than 2!  I can’t believe how old he is getting, at least with another baby on the way I am not to sad to see him get older every day.  I am sure once the baby reaches 2 ½ I will be really sad!

Let’s see….what’s going on with Mr. Clayton Jay…

He weighs…not sure, we haven’t been to the dr. in awhile (knock on wood), but I think it is around 35 lbs.  He just had a big growth spurt about a month ago and now wears 3T pants, 4T (some 3T) shirts, 2T undies,  and size 8 shoe!

Clayton is starting to talk more and more every day.  He can communicate really well and I would say everyone can understand him.  I think his favorite phrase right now is “Momma I workin.”  He thinks he needs to go work after school and help Daddy work on the “bean head” or go to Papa’s shop.  This little boy loves being outside and can practically name every piece of equipment around.  We pulled into the driveway yesterday and he said, “Momma skid loader over there.”   I was impressed and had to call him daddy right away to tell him what he said.

Around Valentine's Day my mom got Clayton the Toy Story movies, Woody, and Buzz. I am not sure whether to love or hate them.  They are such cute movies and I enjoy watching them....but not all the time!  Clayton has never been into watching t.v., until NOW.  He is also loving all the March Madness games!  He gets upset when the commericals come on b/c he doesn't quite understand where the game went.  Clayton is also confused who to cheer for.....Go ILLINI or.....Rock Chalk Jay Hawk....hmmm wonder how that happened!

We have been working really hard on Potty Training.  I think this is the hardest part of parenting by far.  It can be so frustrating sometimes, but it has been worth it.  I think we are down to about one accident a day.  Clayton seems to have the potty training backwards with day and night.  He is ALWAYS dry in the morning.  Every night before he takes a shower he goes potty, then he is dry until morning, when he always goes potty for us when he wakes up.  It seems he has accidents during the day when he is just playing to hard!  He also doesn’t tell us when he as to go, so we put him on about every hour or so like they do at school.  He does say “my belly hurts,”  when it time for number 2.  Enough about that fun topic….

We moved him to a big boy bed about 3 weeks ago.  We have had no issues getting him to go to bed!  Thank goodness he has always been a good sleeper.  We were never big on laying with him, or letting him sleep with us (unless he is sick)…this worked for Clayton and will hopefully work for the next one!

I have turned him into a clean freak.  He picks up around the house, “I put away,” as he calls it.  If something is out of place he puts it where it belongs.  He picks up his toys when I ask, but those messes don’t seem to bother him J.   He is a really good eater too.  Most night he says “I eat it up,” when he really likes something.  He eats what we eat every night unless I know it is something he won’t like.  He isn’t the hungriest boy, he never tells me he is hungry and rarely asks for snacks, but when it is supper time, he is ready to eat.

Clayton is such a loveable little boy with a big heart.  He actually reminds me a lot of his daddy in those ways.  I feel so lucky to have such an awesome little boy (and big boy) as mine!

Practice Burn...

Since Blake is the Assistant Fire Chief for Stanford, this was a perfect training opportunity for the departments around.  Blake organized a practice burn at our OLD house.

I was't quite sure what to expect from all this....but this little boy was so excited once he saw all the firemen/firetrucks line the drive!

Waiting patiently.

I couldn't believe all the prep work that went into this!

There goes my hubby.

Getting ready for the first burn!

The boys patiently waiting....I could not get a good picture...they kept moving and it was getting dark!

First fire set in Clayton's old room....how sad!  Guess where Blake is?  He is "stoking" or lighting the fires....inside!  Kinda scarey...I tried to not think about it!

Finally he came out!  Clayton and I were happy to see him.  It was way past C's bedtime so we had to go in....
while the fireman kept "playing."  This is the front of our house....refer to picture 1.  Bye Bye Old House.

Hee Haw!

Today we celebrated Marin's 2nd Bday!  As she opened each present, she wanted to put it on.  It was so funny to watch her in action.  She truly loves clothes...her mamma is thinking the next Rachel Zoe.

The party favors were these cute cowboy hats.  Clayton is SO into Toy Story then ran around saying Hee Haw the whole time.  In this picture Clayton wants Marin to put hers on.

Here is the bday girl all dressed up.  Clayton and her had so much fun!

OLD...

Blake has ripped the old siding off our OLD house...and look what he uncovered....
I wonder what it looked like back in the day....painted nicely!
I can't believe I used to live here.  Clayton calls our old house "broken."  March 14th the Stanford Fire Department is going to do a practice burn in it...can't wait to see them in action!
