Watching Daddy Mow...

Blake is always mowing (can you say obsessed?). Clayton now enjoys watching him out the window.....anything to keep him busy is fine with me :-). I just thought this was so cute! I think Clayton is going to be his shadow pretty soon.

Ozarks...

Blake and I invited Kelly, Aaron, Ricky, and Melissa down to the lake of the boat races. We decided to make it our first trip without kids! This was the first time Blake and I have been away from Clayton together. We needed some couple time. It was so nice and we had a relaxing weekend. Clayton had a nice vacation too...with both grammy's. A little boys dream.

Ricky bought a new wakeboard. He is pretty good and I thought this pic was awesome. I never ended up trying it b/c it was so cold the day we were doing it. After skiing (which I hadn't done for 5 years) I was so tired and cold (and sore for 4 days straight). After everyone had their turn they would get out of the water and put sweatshirt and sweatpants on. It was so much fun (and so cold). I forgot how much I love water sports!

Into everything....with a smile

Look how tall he is! Clayton can reach practically everything. He loves to try to open the kitchen door. Everyone keeps telling me once he can walk he will be worse and really into everything. I don't know how much more he could get into. He can reach and crawl up on everything already.

He love cords! Our computer was getting worked on so the cords were a free for all for him. This doesn't make me very happy....but it sure does for him! Don't worry that shirt is now put away....it was a 2T so I had it out....must have been a small one! His belly is almost showing...LOL.

I would like to report that Clayton is working on his 4th ear infection since July 13th! His Dr. said it is really bad when kids are this sick in the summer......and I feel like he has been all summer! Poor guy....if this medicine doesn't work we will go to the ear, nose, and throat dr. for tubes. I am so ready for that....to make my baby feel better. Luckily he is still a very easy going boy! Oh he weighed in at just over 25lbs at the doctors office! Whoa....he needs to start walking! :-)

***Update***

I took Clayton to the dr. on Tuesday b/c I thought for sure he still had an ear infection b/c he was being fussy with me. Well it turns out his ears are normal!! So he must have just missed his mommy!!!

Also, we are having major internet at home issues....so I have been kinda behind...hopefully I can catch up this weekend.

Happy Birthdays!

On Sat. Clayton and I went to 2- 1 year old bday parties. I can't believe Clayton's will be one next month!

Logan did pretty good with his cake. He kept his mouth on it for a couple minutes straight. It was so funny. He finally dug right in.

We were also invited to Audrey's bday party. We couldn't go but it was nice to see the birthday girl at Logan's house. Clayton and Audrey were playing so well together. I couldn't get a picture off them both looking at me.

After Logan's party we went to Miss Megan's party. Her theme was pink and brown and all the food was even with the theme. It was so cute!! Megan just kind of played in her cake....never really got into it.

I wonder what Clayton will do?

3 years ago today...

Blake and I got married! Happy Anniversary to my best friend and my partner in crime!

Sick babies still get into trouble...

The face says it all. My poor baby had a horrible runny nose, goopy eyes, raw face, and a cough. When we got home we went to the dr. He has another ear infection and cold. This is his 3rd ear infection since 4th of July....it usually doesn't phase him much...but it did down at the lake. To not wake the entire house, he slept we me most of the nights. That NEVER happens! I hope we are over this soon....or he will get tubes.


Aunt Tay was taping the cords up. I love how he was just sitting there watching her. Clayton loves to pull on cords. So sick babies can get into trouble. LOL.

The Lake...day 2

We went to Captain Ron's for lunch! That place has the BEST coconut shrimp!! It was so hot and sunny out...we got a great seat in the shade on the deck. That place was packed! So packed I had to stand next to Clayton while he sat in a booster seat, b/c there were no highchairs. When a highchair finally became available the hostess tried to take it from me....and needless to say Clayton got a highchair...HA!

After Captain Ron's we went to Ha Ha Tonka...a little boat ride to a nice relaxing place. We had quite a crew....two boats! You would think with 13 people a house would be crowded but it was really the more the merrier! We had a great time with my family, the Schmidts, and various friends!!!

The Lake...day 1.

Clayton loves the boat! He doesn't like his lifejacket so much. He really didn't seem to mind once we got going. I don't think it helped that it was so hot! Blake started off holding him until he fell fast asleep.



Clayton looks like he is asleep but on our to the Horny Toad he woke up with really big eyes everytime we hit a big wave! Then he was instantly back asleep.

A family photo.....We had a great time! The Horny Toad is a nice place....but a LONG boat ride that is really rough. They did have a nice pool and swim up bar that everyone enjoyed. Clayton loves to swim....especially without his lifejacket on.

Everyone got off the boat to grab a drink and to take a break from the brutal boat ride from Osage. Clayton was asleep but of course woke up once we stopped. Me and him just chilled in the boat and had a drink of our own. What an easy going kid!

My Giraffe pool...

The past two Sundays you could find me and Clayton outside in his giraffe pool. Okay I am next to him in the sun lounging....it is wonderful!

SO BIG!!!

Odie drinking water out of the pool. Kinda gross but there is no way I could keep that 100 lb dog out of it....plus Clayton loves him. Clayton has his hand in his mouth....Odie doesn't even care!

Clayton loves his corn on the cob. I just gave him a cob to suck on.....then I shared a piece with him. He could actually get the kernals off!!! I was impressed.....BTW doesn't he look like a little boy...i just can't believe it.

Henry and Kelly doing great! Talk about a crazy life....as we got to their new house....Brandon was still unloading a trailer from their move the day before! I think Henry was adjusting to his new house quite well.
