We went to grandma's house to show off his costume. His other grandma came to join the fun. Clayton didn't mind being "Spidey" for the day. I even "let him" be Spidey at Wal-mart...We had great 2nd Halloween!

Bounce.

Clayton's school had a Fall Festival on Saturday. We invited Rhendy and Logan along for some playtime. The boys had so much fun even though they were pretty tired. We roasted hot dogs, went on a lawn mower ride, played in the moon bounce, then played at the playground. Clayton was so tired...he took a long nap once we left. I heard from Rhendy that Logan was still going strong a couple of hours after with no nap. I am not sure how that happened b/c they played so hard! We love playing with Rhendy and Logan.

My snuggle bug...

Clayton used to love watching his Baby Einstein movies...but since he started crawling that isn't the case. I thought I would try his movies again....and he actually watched it! I got him all snuggled up with his blanket and stuffed dog and he loved it! I think I need to get him a little chair or bean bag to relax and watch movies b/c now he doesn't have anywhere to sit other then the couch....and I am afraid he will roll off.

A random Wednesday off work!

I took the day off work because my mother-in-law was on vacation and we didn't have childcare for Clayton. I really didn't mind (grin)....it was a good excuse to spend the day with my baby! After Clayton's morning nap we headed into town and got McDonald's. If you know me I don't eat fast food, except for Subway. It was Clayton's first McDonald's experience. We ate it at Miller Park picnic style! Clayton was more interested in the man mowing the lawn then anything else. He kept pointing saying da da.

We tried out the baby swing. He really did like it....what a serious face!

Walking and talking...

And after dinner (or any meal) with a full belly....he walks and talks around our kitchen island. I will get a video uploaded soon....to cute for words.

Clayton has also moved to the 1 year old room at school. He loves it there and has so much fun. The teachers tell me that his eyes light up so big when he goes to the room. He has even been sleeping on a cot! **tear** he is not a baby anymore...

Clayton got his Handy Manny tool box for his birthday. He loves the theme song......especially to dance to. I think there is about 6 songs on the toolbox...but he always skips to the theme song to dance to. I think his dance moves remind me of his daddy.....LOL!

A fun, exciting, death defying day...

Let’s recap my crazy day…it was a fun one…that is why I have to share…

Up at 4 a.m. (Why on earth would I pick a 6 a.m. flight out of BLM) Oh wait….to get to CA by noon to put in a couple hours of work. What was I thinking?

Leave BMI and arrive at O’Hare at 7 a.m. Hop on a plane at 9 a.m.

THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD…HOLD ON!

Up in the air….starting to relax….and the plane starts descending really fast. I wake up from my little snooze thinking “What is going on?.” The plane starts shaking….the flight attendants run to the front of the plane then back to the back. I look at Steph sitting in front of me and we freak! I did stay pretty calm.....

Someone yells, “WHAT IS GOING ON!” Luckily we had a captain sitting next to us to calm us down and say everything was ok.

So the plane is turning around b/c an indicator came on saying there was a fire in the cockpit. (At this point we still didn’t know if there was a fire or not)….We land and I see an O’Hare fire truck. OMG!

The fire chief comes on the plane for an inspection. (While we are all sitting there clueless). The pilot announces what happened…

I guess we were on a brand new plane and an indicator came on saying there was a cockpit fire. They told us there wasn’t one…but who knows. So that is why we turned the plane around for precautionary measures. We got off the plane, had a beer to calm our nerves, and got on another plane to LA 2 hours later.

We forgot to eat lunch….got to LA at 5 p.m. (IL time) Talk about starving…but we arrived safely! I got off the plane and had two good bits of news.
1. Amanda had baby Caitlin. I was right a girl! Woohoo!
2. We can get Verizon internet! Welcome back to 2009! Woohoo!

The night ended at PF Chang’s and Pottery Barn to look at the table I am in love with. (Yes we took pictures…and yes we got in trouble…but it was worth it!) It ended at midnight IL time.

So needless to say…I am tired! Time for bed I said!

**Update**

Just got a letter of apology from American Airlines and 3,000 bonus points. Now I am 3000 points closer to a free flight...woohoo! I thought that was a nice gesture.

Big Blue!

Clayton got "big blue" for his birthday. He loves to rock on it....and stand on it! At first it really made me nervous, but now I realize he can do it and "boys will be boys."

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch...

Per the weather forcast, today was going to be the last 60 degree day. I called my mom and Patty to see if they wanted to take Clayton to the pumpkin patch (Rader's). We had such a great time and saw some friends. I hope we get another nice day that we can go again.

Back in the stone ages...

Trying to live without internet is just impossible for me...especially when it comes to blogging!

After 3 months of "engineering is trying to fix the problem," I finally canceled our internet with DTN speednet.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a provider to call?

I have tried verizon...and for some reason we can't get it but my parents can a mile down the road!! (aaahhhh)

The life of living in the country!!! I love it except for these types of issues.

Like father like son...

Patty and Denny had a great party at their shed with a band! Somehow I didn't get any pictures with me in it (seems to be the case these days).... Don't they look so much alike in this picture?

Clayton was helping Blake fix the door knob/lock. I was in the other room and Blake was yelling at me to help him b/c Clayton was under his arm looking at what he was doing. It was pretty hilarious.....he has already started to be interested in what daddy is doing. So cute!
